What is Vampire Crawlers?
Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors is a first-of-its-kind Action TurboTurn™ Game — a genre invented by developers poncle. Released on April 21, 2026 for PC (Steam), Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, it takes the beloved Vampire Survivors universe and transforms it into a first-person dungeon-crawling deckbuilder with explosive turn-based combat.
The game is developed by poncle (triple-BAFTA winners behind Vampire Survivors) in collaboration with Nosebleed Interactive. At just $9.99, it delivers 20–30 hours of tightly crafted content, with additional unlock layers pushing well beyond.
You choose a Crawler — a character from the Vampire Survivors universe — and descend into grid-based first-person dungeons, building and evolving a deck of weapon, item, and wild cards while chaining combos through the TurboTurn™ Mana Chain for increasingly insane damage multipliers. Each run ends when you emerge from the dungeon or fall, and meta-progress carries between runs through the village Power-Up system.

Understanding the TurboTurn™ System
TurboTurn™ is not just a feature — it is a genre. Here's the core of how it works.
Unlike traditional turn-based games where you wait for each animation to complete, Vampire Crawlers lets you queue and play cards in rapid succession without interruption. The real depth comes from the Mana Chain multiplier system: play cards in ascending mana cost order (0 → 1 → 2 → 3) and each card multiplies the damage of the next.
A 0-cost card makes the next card deal ×2 damage. A 1-cost card makes the next deal ×3. A 2-cost card: ×4. A 3-cost card: ×5. Chain them all together and your final card lands for a ×120 multiplier — turning a modest 50-damage hit into 6,000 damage in a single turn.
Wild Cards (marked W) can slot into any position in the chain without breaking the sequence, letting you bridge gaps when you do not draw the exact cost you need. Mastering when to use a Wild Card versus when to hold it is the difference between a 10× chain and a 30× chain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Vampire Crawlers — from platform availability to gameplay mechanics. See our complete FAQ page for the full list. FAQ
What is Vampire Crawlers?
Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors is a standalone Action TurboTurn™ game developed by poncle and Nosebleed Interactive. It is a dungeon crawler / deckbuilder / roguelite hybrid set in the Vampire Survivors universe. Released April 21, 2026 on Steam, Xbox (Game Pass Day One), PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
Is Vampire Crawlers a standalone game or DLC for Vampire Survivors?
Vampire Crawlers is a completely standalone game. You do not need to own Vampire Survivors to play it. It is a separate purchase (£9.99 / $9.99) set in the same universe, featuring familiar characters and weapons but with entirely different gameplay mechanics.
Is Vampire Crawlers on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes. Vampire Crawlers is available on Xbox Game Pass (Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Cloud Gaming) from Day One of its April 21, 2026 release. It is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title — one purchase covers both Xbox Series S|X and PC via the Microsoft Store.
Does demo progress carry over to the full game?
Yes — poncle officially confirmed that all demo progress carries over to the full game. This includes all Power-Ups purchased in the village, character unlocks achieved during the demo, and all gold earned. Your demo investment is not wasted.
How many playable characters are in Vampire Crawlers?
The demo features 4 playable Crawlers: Antonio Belpaese, Imelda Belpaese, Poe Ratcho, and Arca Ladonna. The full release is confirmed to include additional characters beyond the demo roster. Antonio and Imelda are available from the start; Poe requires completing Mad Forest Floor 3, and Arca requires completing Inlaid Library Floor 2.
What is TurboTurn™?
TurboTurn™ is poncle's name for the core combat mechanic in Vampire Crawlers. Unlike traditional turn-based card games where you wait for each card animation, TurboTurn™ lets you play cards back-to-back in rapid succession. The key feature is the Mana Chain: playing cards in ascending mana cost order (0→1→2→3) multiplies each subsequent card's damage by ×2, ×3, ×4, and ×5 respectively — enabling up to ×120 total multipliers in a single turn.
What are Wild Cards?
Wild Cards (marked with W cost) fill gaps in your Mana Chain without breaking the ascending order requirement. If you have a 0-cost and 2-cost card but no 1-cost card, playing a Wild Card between them preserves the chain. Most decks should run 2–3 Wild Cards for chain consistency. Wild Cards do not add their own multiplier — they simply maintain the sequence.
How do evolutions work in Vampire Crawlers?
Evolutions transform a Base Card weapon into a stronger evolved form. You need: (1) the Base Card with an empty Gem Socket in your deck, (2) the specific Item Card ingredient in your deck simultaneously, and (3) access to a Gem Station inside the dungeon. Interact with the Gem Station when holding both cards to trigger the evolution. The evolved card inherits the Base Card's remaining Gem Slots.
